Things you need before filling in the form:
If you are planning to fill in the NEET application form, it’s wise to have a few things in place so that you are not slowed down in your application filling process. Here is the list of all the documents that you will need:
- Scanned Copy of your Passport Size Photograph (300 KB or lesser in size)
- Scanned Copy of your Signature (30 KB or lesser in size)
- X Marksheet
- XI Marksheet
- XII Marksheet (If you have already completed XII STD)
- Address Proof (Aadhar Card, Voter’s ID, Passport, etc)
- Payment Details (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking Details)
If you have these things in place, you will be able to fill in the NEET Application for 2019 without any hiccups. See the video below for a detailed tutorial.
Step 1: Generate your Application Number:
- Go to https://ntaneet.nic.in/Ntaneet/Registration/Instruction.aspx
- Scroll down and click PROCEED TO APPLY ONLINE NEET (UG) – 2019
- Enter your basic information such as your Name (As appeared on your X STD Marksheet}; Mother’s Name; Father’s Name; Date of Birth; ID Type and Number; etc.,
- Enter your Email Address and Phone number for further communications and receiving the One Time Passwords (OTP).
- Click on PREVIEW & NEXT
- Verify all the information entered by you and Click NEXT.
- Now, create your password – Make sure it has at least one Capital Letter, a Small Letter, a Special Character and a number.
- Enter the OTP that you have received via SMS and Click Submit.
- Your Application Number is generated. Make sure you copy the Application number for the next step.
Step 2: Enter your Personal Information:
- This screen will require entering all your personal information. Many details such as your name, parent’s name, id type etc., are already entered.
- Enter your place of birth, state and district.
- Enter your choice of the medium of the question paper – The NEET Exam is conducted in 11 languages – choose the language that you wish to take the exam in.
- Choose the City that you wish to take your exam at – You get to give 4 choices and make sure that you choose them in the order or your priority.
- Click NEXT
Step 3: Enter your Educational Information:
- This screen will require entering all your educational information. Start by choosing the Board which conducted your X STD Exam. (If you belong to a CBSE Curriculum, choose Central Board of Secondary Education; If your belong to state board, choose your appropriate board)
- Enter the Name and Address of your School
- Choose the year of passing from the drop down box
- Enter the Percentage of marks scored in the X STD Exam. (For example, if you have scored 82%, Enter 82. Do not enter the ‘%’ symbol)
- Now enter the details of your XI STD Exam (Name of school, Year of passing, State & District)
- Now, enter the details of your XII STD Exam (Board, Name and Address of school, State & District)
- Enter the Qualifying exam code: (click the question mark to see which one will suit you the best. the most common ones are listed below)
- 01 – For Students who will appear for XII STD Exam in 2019
- 02 – For Students who have completed XII STD Exam in 2018 or earlier
- If your exam code is 01, Click NEXT. If not, enter the Percentage of marks scored in XII STD Exam, Year of passing, Roll Number & marks scored in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology.
- Click NEXT
Step 4: Enter your Communication Information:
- Enter your full Permanent address, Choose your state and district. Your email id and your mobile number are already entered. Enter a Landline number with STD code if available.
- If your Permanent address is different from your current address, enter the current address under correspondence address. Else, simply click on Same as Permanent Address
- Under Details of Parents/Guardian, enter the educational qualifications of your parents, their area of occupation and annual income.
- Under the Dress code, choose yes if you wish to wear a customary dress (traditional and religious dress including dhoti, burkha, etc.,) if not, go ahead and choose no. The official Dress code suggested is to wear light clothes with half sleeves not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower etc. with Salwar/Trouser. Also remember to wear slippers, sandals with low heels and not shoes.
- Enter the security pin and click PREVIEW AND SUBMIT
- On the next screen, verify all the information entered in Steps 2,3 and 4.
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile number
- Click FINAL SUBMIT
Step 5: Upload your Photograph and Signature
- Click on Upload your Recent Photograph & Signature.
- Under Upload Photo, Click Choose File and select the scanned Copy of your Passport Size Photograph (300 KB or lesser in size)
- Under Upload Signature, Click Choose File and select the scanned copy of your signature (30 KB or lesser in size)
- Click NEXT
- Verify the uploaded files, enter the security pin and Click Upload
Step 6: Make your Payment
- Under Modes of Payment, Select your desired mode of payment.
- On the next screen, select the payment gateway – note that different banks have different processing charges.
- Enter your payment details and process the payment.
- The fees for submitting a NEET Application is ₹ 1,400/- + Bank Charges.
Step 7: Download your Application Form
- After a successful payment, you are redirected to the NTA website where you get to preview your filled application form.
- Save a copy on your computer and print at least two copies of your application form for future reference.
- Click on Upload your Recent Photograph & Signature.
- Under Upload Photo, Click Choose File and select the scanned Copy of your Passport Size Photograph (300 KB or lesser in size)
- Under Upload Signature, Click Choose File and select the scanned copy of your signature (30 KB or lesser in size)
- Click NEXT
- Verify the uploaded files, enter the security pin and Click Upload
