When you’re deep in solving physics problems or brushing up on calculus, nothing makes your heart race like an update about exam dates. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the JEE Main 2026 exam schedule, marking the beginning of another exciting year for future engineers.
If your goal is to step into an IIT, NIT, or top engineering institute, this update is your signal to get organized. At VVT Coaching, we’ve helped thousands of students turn this phase, from uncertainty to readiness, into a smooth journey. With over 1000 JEE toppers, we’ve seen what early preparation and the right guidance can do.
This article walks you through the official schedule, registration process, and preparation insights, so you can plan without stress.
The JEE Main exam is conducted in two sessions each year, allowing students to improve their scores and reduce exam-day pressure.
The NTA announced the 2026 sessions on October 19, 2025:
This timing is ideal since it avoids clashes with most board exams and gives you enough time to refine your preparation between both attempts.
Our data at VVT Coaching shows that students who take both sessions tend to improve their performance by up to 15–20%, mainly because they learn from their first attempt and adjust their strategy.
