JEE Main 2027 Marking Scheme

The current JEE Main marking pattern is:

Negative marking makes accuracy extremely important.

Example

If you attempt 20 questions and get:

• 15 correct
• 5 incorrect

Your score will be:

15 × 4 − 5 = 55 marks

This is why students should avoid blind guessing.

More attempts do not always mean a higher score. Accurate attempts matter more.

• Paper 1: 3 hours
• Paper 2A: 3 hours
• Paper 2B: 3 hours
